Maxx Pollare celebrated a Fruiting Day on Feb.
27!!!
Software by Forfaox
Forfaox finally finished an upgrade of their dragon code reader.
It's now ready for version 2.6, and should produce better results than the
old version. You might've used the old version, but you'll like this one
better ;)
So go forth and downloadeth it from Here J'Karrah blooms!
J'Karrah EbonDragon comments that spring is just a few short
weeks away and she'd downloaded some really neat new brushes for Photoshop
which lets her make a bunch of seaside wildflowers! http://ebondragon.com/Apples, Pears, Tomatoes...
Pyros Rutilicus posted that those who
have been at AFD a long while are sometimes referred to as "fruits" or Olde
Fruites" for reasons that have long since disappeared from memory. One's
"fruiting day" is the anniversary of one's first post to AFD. Rai added an
alternative definition, that if one subscribes to the 'fruitiness is a state
of mind' idea rather than a purely temporal measure, when one realises one
is part of the furniture.

Timeless Draconicity Hex was just wondering what everyone would include if Alfandra
had a time capsule and then buried it in a lair hidden for many eons. What
would dragons and friends of dragons include? For himself, bagpipes would
be there. His TRF dragon picture would also appear and the final item would
be his "cleaner's" guild badge (read assassin). All say something of the
dragon named Hex.
![]() Lord Flame Stryke, wanting to share the important things with the ages said it was a tough question. He'd add something of his magic, but since that's part of him he couldn't even put in a book of spells. He'd also add something about his mate, but has mothing but memories of her. In the last anlysis, he really couldn't think of anything to add. The only thing he really could say, the only thing that he has here and now that means anything to him, are his friends. So he'd get a huge group picture of all his friends and add that. He'd also add a complete message history of Here to let people know who we were and how we got along, and yes, even the trolls to show what we had to overcome, yet still we stayed together. Editorial
Pyros Rutilicus says, "As in any group, people will occasionally
argue. Sadly, this tends to come up every so often - someone gets fed up
with whatever disagreements they've been in, and post something along the
lines of "You all hate me, so I'm leaving." In every instance of such I can
remember, I haven't seen anything to cause it from the group as a whole; rather,
it is the result of one or two disagreements with individuals. Frequently
a lot of the arguments occur off of AFD, either on another group or on the
MUCK or elsewhere, meaning that the bulk of the AFD population is even more
clueless about the causes. In addition, it is
often simply a cry for attention. Sorry to sound so cynical, but after seeing
the same pattern multiple times, it's hard not to be."
Rai also comments, "I've always been a bit disgruntled with
this idea that people=humans. If I /meant/humans,
I'd say so -- to me, "people" is an inclusive rather than exclusive term.
Anyone, no matter what race, is a person, so long as they exhibit some faint
spark of individuality. 'Tis that, not our genes, that makes us such, IMHO."Paid for

Testimonial by Eredien: Maly does wonderful shirts. I haven't seen these designs personally, but I have another shirt that she did for me and ordered one for my mate Arcturax a few months ago, and both of us are very pleased. She takes great care in creating them and even includes a special little instruction booklet telling you how to take care of them so the transfer doesn't wear off when you wash. They're very high-quality, unique, and a lot of fun. So get a shirt! |
