Furry Minds -by That Guy
Dan Savage, the guy that writes
the advice column "Savage Love," lit the fuse that will blow up his email
server this week. For your enjoyment: Savage.html
Hehehe. His theory of furry sexuality is pretty funny, I think. Mondariloth
notes: Y'all do know...this is from the Onion. Their brand of reality usually
differs from the one we -or anyone else- use...

Wyrm in Shock Live Radio Appearance -by WyrmYes. I've done my first ever live
Radio Interview, and it was about Dragons! Why? Well, it was all because
Reign of Fire is due out over here (UK) on August 23rd. A presenter of a
local Radio Station (BBC Radio Cleveland) decided that it would be a good
idea to talk to an 'expert' on dragons as part of a feature on the film.
After doing a web search, they chose me! Apparently because I had details
about a dragon legend local to the presenter. The interview itself was very
straightforward, with questions about the history of Dragons, why they had
a bad image in the West but a good image in the East, and more about the
local dragon. Well, I easily managed to explain the various sources of the
Dragon myths, why Dragons now have a bad image in the West when originally
they were often revered, and a nice little (tongue in cheek) story about
the local Dragon. There were also a few questions about the film, and the
divided reaction to it in the 'Dragon community' - which I explained fairly
briefly but concisely (I believe). He asked me if I'd be going to see the
film - well of course! :8) We seemed to cover a lot of ground in the 15 minutes
of interview and it seemed to go very well. On the closing link, the presenter
described me as the 'UKs leading Dragon expert'! Well I'm not sure about
that, but it was good to put forward a positive image for once.
Editorial Gelgisith
pondered, "When does one become an Olde Whine? Does one need to have fermented,
or is five year of being here enough? Does one need to be fruity, or can
one be a nutty whine..." Marayong
answered, "You are an Olde Whine when a certified Olde Whine conceedes you
are also one. :) If you can remember when the dragons came out of the closet
and chased away or ate all the humans infesting AFD .. then you are officially
an Olde Whine. *grynne* Still .. *ponders* .. 5 years does seem to be a decent
enuf fermentation."
The results are in!!! Thank you for voting!!
From ElseWhere Makeshift Dragonlure
John wrote: "Closer and closer the dragons glided toward the lure till at
last they were within range of Farley's spear. With all his being he hurled
the spear at the nearest dragon. Time seemed to pass in slow motion as Farley
watched the spear hit the dragon in the chest. He started to yell for joy
till the wounded dragon turned and fell toward the castle. He watched in
horror as the great beast rammed into the tower where Princess Euphoria lived.
So intent on watching the
one dragon fall that he forgot about the other. Don,
the artists, wrties, "Yea, 'twas indeed a tragic day. They still speak of
it in the streets of the kingdom, and if you were to travel seven kilometers
to the south of the castle, you would see. sitting on a small, beautifully
wooded, grass-covered mound, a miniature dragon lure atop a stone column.
Inscribed in the stone are the simple words, "Here rest the remains of Sir
Farley of Firk. The greatest klutz the kingdom has e'er known." |
